What it is HEMPCRETE?
Well for those of you who don't know, Hempcrete is a revolutionary building material made from Hemp, lime and water. Hempcrete is made by grinding the inside of the cannabis plant's stalk into fine chips then mixing them with lime and water. This will create an incredibly durable material that can be moulded into bricks and other building materials. Hempcrete is a strong, breathable, flexible, mold-proof and fire retardant material that offers distinct advantages over today's building materials.
The benefits of using Hemp as an element to create building material compared to the way modern day building material elements are either mined from the earth or harvest from forests. The forests are centuries of years old because it takes trees decades to grow while Hemp crops only take about 4 months. Hemp can be harvested annually in perpetuity. One acre of hemp can produce as much paper products as 4.1 acres of trees. The advantages of Hemp are pretty clear. It's ok not to be an environmentalist but it doesn't mean you shouldn't be self-conscious about our environment and leaving it inhabitable for our kids. Teaching our younger generation a better way of living. For investors or those who dabble in the stock market should seriously consider investing in Hempcrete. Other Industrial Hemp companies are coming out as the Hemp part of the Cannabis Industry unfolds. The benefits of Hemp are recognized to be a more durablely safer building material then the one's that are commonly used. It is also a much more inexpensive option in most cases. In England, if you build a house with Hempcrete you receive an insurance discount. Now that Hemp is becoming more popular as building material in Europe even Prince Charles has a zero-carbon home built using Hempcrete.
